Tracing back to find the mission of the bakery

When I tried to set a mission statement for my family bakery, to deliver a precise value toward our customers, I went back to the reason of our bakery's existence...

Though the bakery was named House of Denmark, my father had never been to Denmark. He was born at a small island near Taiwan called Penghu. His family was in poverty, he had to collect clams and sell it on streets to support his family since he was only 13. He did not have the money to go to high school or have other higher educations. At the age of 16, he started to work at his uncle's small bakery in Penghu so that he could have free bread to eat. Soon he fell in love with making bread. He left Penghu and came to Taiwan to chase his dream of being an outstanding baker. After years of facing unfair salary, watching bakeries use low-quality ingredients, and superiors treating his teams inhumanly, he decided to start his own bakery. 

At House of Denmark, we treat our customers and employees like our family.  We have been and will always be giving our best to our family. 

Since 1990, he dedicated himself to providing the best bread in town, raising my sister and me, and supporting his family in Penghu. I am the luckiest girl who grew up having the world's best bread and best parents. I am very thankful to have a father who always gives his best efforts to his family and his passion. And I think it is the most genuine mission not only for the bakery but also for my family.
